Japan loves Halloween. I think Japan loves Halloween more than America – but, Halloween is different as it is more an event for young adults than children.

There is no trick-or-treating but there are costumes. Most of the world knows about Japan’s fascination with cosplay so Halloween just seems like natural fit. I wonder why it took so long to become popular – but popular it is!

Before Halloween, there are a lot of events and even Fuji TV puts on a parade in Odaiba as it is near their offices. Being a day-time parade, it is okay to bring your kids and not only enjoy the parade but other events and plenty of shopping.
